The 9th Annual Safe Trick or Treat is bringing families, local businesses, and the community together at Settlers Village for an afternoon of costumes, treats, and Halloween fun. Now in its ninth year, the celebration is getting bigger than ever—so grab your costumes, bring the family, and join us for a safe and fun way to celebrate Halloween right here in Wheatland.

It’s back-to-school time in Wheatland! As local students head back to the classroom, it’s a fresh start filled with new teachers, new routines, and plenty of opportunities ahead. Wishing all of our Wheatland students, families, teachers, and school staff an incredible school year!

CARS & COFFEE
Cars & Coffee is a casual community gathering organized by Papa's Coffee Company where local car enthusiasts and neighbors can connect while checking out a variety of rides. It happens on the third Saturday of every month, making it an easy addition to your weekend plans!

ANNUAL WATERMELON FESTIVAL
Bishop's Pumpkin Farm is kicking off its 2026 season with its first-ever Watermelon Festival! The special three-day bonus weekend runs August 28–30 before the farm officially begins its daily fall season on September 4.

FOOD BANK
The Yuba-Sutter Food Bank provides a monthly community food distribution in Wheatland as part of its mission to help fight food insecurity throughout the Yuba-Sutter area. Community members can visit the Food Bank’s website for schedules and additional distribution locations throughout the area.

WHEATLAND HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Take a trip into Wheatland’s past at the Wheatland History Museum, located inside the community’s historic Little Red Schoolhouse. Operated by the Wheatland Historical Society, the museum preserves and shares stories, artifacts, and history from Wheatland and the surrounding area.

WHEATLAND FARMER'S MARKET
Spend your Saturday morning shopping locally at the Wheatland Farmers Market, where local growers and neighbors come together to celebrate the area’s agricultural roots. The certified farmers market features producers selling locally grown goods and is held at 1912 Highway 65 in Wheatland.

GOLDEN ANNUAL AUTUMN FESTIVAL
This event features 12 selected wineries, specialty vendors, and two intimate tasting sessions in the Big Green Barn and shaded lawn area. Proceeds benefit Yuba-Sutter-Colusa United Way and the programs it supports. This is a 21+ event, and advance tickets are $50 per person.

NICOLAUS LABOR DAY PARADE
Celebrate Labor Day with a longtime community tradition in nearby Nicolaus. The event brings the community together for a day featuring parade floats, live music, local vendors, and plenty of small-town fun. It’s an easy way for families to spend the holiday supporting neighboring communities.

NATIONAL PUMPKIN WEIGH-OFF
See some truly enormous pumpkins take the scale at the National Pumpkin Weigh-Off at Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm. Growers from across the United States and Canada compete alongside giant vegetables, while young growers ages 7–17 take part in the Future Farmers competition.

Game
Show your Wheatland spirit and cheer on the Pirates. Homecoming is one of those special nights that brings students, families, alumni, and longtime Wheatland residents together under the Friday night lights. Come out, reconnect with neighbors, and enjoy one of the community’s favorite school traditions.

TRIVIA NIGHTS
Put your knowledge to the test at Wednesday Trivia Night at Hop Riot in downtown Wheatland. Gather a few friends, grab a drink, and see how your team does across a variety of trivia questions in a relaxed local setting. It’s an easy midweek excuse to get out of the house & support a Wheatland business.

WUHS AMERICAN LEGION BINGO
Gather your friends and family for an evening of Bingo at Wheatland Union High School. Hosted in connection with the local American Legion community, the event offers a relaxed way to spend an evening together while supporting a local organization with deep ties to veterans and the Wheatland community.
